    (30 people with no vision, 34 people wearing soft contact lenses, 6 people wearing hard contact lenses)

  • <method>

    I instilled 1-2 drops of V Rohto Dryguard Premium into both eyes four times a day for 14 days.
    Each subjective symptom was assessed using a four-point scale, and the average score for the three most recent days (excluding the day of the patient's visit) was calculated for the start date of administration, the first week of administration, and the second week of administration (or the day of discontinuation).
    The least squares mean of the score change (each time point after administration, compared to the start date of administration) was used to calculate the 90% confidence interval.

  • The subjects' impressions (based on questionnaires) were evaluated on a 5-point scale at two weeks after administration (or at the time of discontinuation) compared to before administration.
    BUT (tear film breakup time) was measured three times per eye on each visit day at the start of administration, one week after administration, and two weeks after administration (or at the time of discontinuation), and the average value was calculated.
    The least squares mean of the change (each time point after administration - day of administration start) was used to calculate the 90% confidence interval.

Adverse events were reported in 4 out of 70 patients (5.7%) in this clinical trial.
No serious adverse events or events causally related to the investigational drug (side effects) were observed.
By symptom, there was corneal erosion in 1 case (1.4%), eyelid swelling in 1 case (1.4%), eyelid pain in 1 case (1.4%), nasopharyngitis in 1 case (1.4%), and skin cyst in 1 case (1.4%).
In terms of severity, there was only one moderate adverse event, which was a single case of skin cyst.
Mild adverse events included corneal erosion, eyelid swelling, eyelid pain, and nasopharyngitis, totaling 3 cases (4 events) per patient.
Furthermore, no clinically significant abnormalities were found during the ophthalmological examination.
