As a "social partner,"a portion of the sales of eye dropswill be donated to support activities that advance ophthalmic medicine.

Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, President: Masafumi Sugimoto) is working to support the "joy of seeing" for people all over the world,In collaboration with 11 business partners, we will donate a portion of our sales to support ophthalmic medical care, including cataract treatment, in Asia, Africa, and other regions.This initiative started in October 2016 and is now in its ninth year.
Rohto Pharmaceutical and its retail business partners have come together as "social partners," transcending the boundaries of business,This initiative involves using a portion of sales to engage in social contribution activities.

Bringing light back into the eyes of people with cataracts.

Rohto Pharmaceutical has previously provided support in various Asian countries, including free eye examinations and treatments, free provision of intraocular lenses for cataract treatment,and training of local ophthalmologists, but these efforts have been limited.

With the desire to expand this activity and extend a helping hand to more people on the brink of blindness, we reached out to our business partners, and despite this being ourninth year of support activities, we were delighted to receive support from as many as 10 companies who agreed to become "social partners" and collaboratewith us on these activities.

As members of the healthcare industry, we take pride and a sense of mission in this support activity, and we will continue to carry it out on an ongoing basis.
