"Trying to conceive" begins the moment you wish to have a baby.
Gaining knowledge about how to conceive, taking care of your body, and being considerate of your partner—everything you do to get pregnant falls under the category of "trying to conceive."
This survey revealed that while about half of the respondents considered "fertility treatment" to be "something everyone who wants children does," a significant number also viewed it as "something done by people struggling to conceive" or "something that involves receiving treatment at a hospital." Furthermore, there were differences in perception between men and women undergoing fertility treatment, with men undergoing fertility treatment being particularly perceived as "family-oriented" and "gentle."
On the other hand, it has become clear that there is much about pregnancy and childbirth that is unknown even to people who are married and want to have children, and that even married men tend to have less knowledge about these topics than women.
Until now, it may have been thought that "trying to conceive" was mostly the woman's responsibility, but pregnancy is something that cannot be achieved without the cooperation of both partners.
When people wish to have a baby, I hope that both men and women will take "trying to conceive" as something that concerns them personally, and that society will come to see it not as "something special that only happens to a few people," but as "something that is normal for everyone."

If you and your partner want to have children in the future, that's when "trying to conceive" in a broad sense begins. Instead of thinking, "I'll stop using contraception when the time comes," you should learn what you can do now to prepare for that time and start working on it as early as possible.
