Social contribution

"Pharmacy Education" is our company's original educational activity aimed at equipping children, who will be the leaders of the next generation, with accurate knowledge about medicine.
Rohto employees visit junior and senior high schools to conduct outreach classes. They use simple simulation experiments to provide fun and easy-to-understand lectures on basic knowledge of medicine, how to read package inserts, and how to properly use eye drops.
This drug education initiative originated from a proposal by an internal project formed in 2005, where employees from various departments voluntarily came together. Currently, employees from various departments participate in these drug education activities on a continuous basis in the Kanto and Kinki regions.

Supporting "Guide Dog Training." The "Karugamo Fund," established in 2003, is a charity fund that uses a combination of contributions from employees (starting at 390 yen each) and company support to support socially needed welfare and environmental activities every year. The amount raised has been increasing year by year, and it supports activities such as the training of guide dogs.

We have been regularly conducting free eye examinations in China and Vietnam to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of eye health. Recently, we have expanded these activities to Myanmar, Cambodia, and other countries.
