Types and causes of acne,
Here's how to effectively care for your skin every day!

/ CHAPTER 1 /

Let's learn about the different types of acne!

There are actually four different types of acne!
What type of acne do you have?

  • Whiteheads

When the keratin around the pores thickens, it narrows the pores, preventing sebum from being properly excreted, resulting in small white bumps.

    Whiteheads
  • Blackhead

After a whitehead, sebum cannot be properly expelled from the pores, and the accumulated sebum comes into contact with the outside air, attracting dirt and oxidizing, resulting in a darkened appearance.

    Blackhead
  • Red pimples

This condition occurs when pores become blocked, allowing bacteria (such as acne bacteria) to multiply and cause inflammation.
At this time, a red, raised area will appear on the skin. Since it is inflamed, accompanied by pain and redness, do not squeeze or touch it with your fingers.

    Red pimples
  • Yellow pimples

After a red pimple appears, if various bacteria multiply further, it can develop into a condition where pus forms.

    Yellow pimples

/ CHAPTER 2 /

Let's learn about the causes of acne!

Acne can be caused by a variety of factors.
Let's make sure we understand it properly.

Causes related to your lifestyle
Dirt and sebum secretion on the skin

Various types of dirt that adhere to the skin mix with sebum secreted from the pores, causing them to become clogged.
This is a major cause of acne.

constipation

Constipation can cause acne, right?
One reason for this is that digested food remains in the intestines for a long time, generating toxic substances. If these toxic substances are not excreted and are absorbed from the intestines and carried to the skin, acne will worsen.
To improve bowel movements, it's important to maintain a regular lifestyle, get moderate exercise, and eat plenty of milk, fruit, and vegetables.

The function of hormone balance

Hormones play a major role in sebum secretion. When this hormonal balance is disrupted, it can lead to a condition where acne is more likely to develop.
For women, acne is more likely to occur in the two weeks before menstruation due to hormonal changes.

stress

Stress and irritability caused by excessive tension, fatigue, and insomnia can disrupt hormone balance, leading to increased sebaceous gland activity and making you more prone to acne.

unbalanced diet

An unbalanced diet, such as excessive consumption of greasy foods and sweets, can cause acne. Vitamins are especially important.
Vitamin A moisturizes and firms the skin. B vitamins activate lipid metabolism and help maintain proper sebum secretion. Vitamins C and E help suppress the oxidation of sebum.
Try to eat a balanced diet.

Sunburn and UV rays

It is said that exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause sebum and other substances to oxidize and generate reactive oxygen species, which can worsen acne inflammation.
Protecting your skin from ultraviolet rays is very important for preventing acne.
